How much decision load still depends on you?

What this reveals

Examine whether pressure is coming from decision volume, concentrated ownership, unresolved loops or the cost of carrying the system. Your answers stay in this browser and are not stored.

Use the last 30 days as evidence.

Answer for the way responsibility actually moved, not for your intentions or your most difficult day. There are no desirable answers. The result is an operating signal, not a judgement of leadership ability.

0 Rarely1 Sometimes2 Often3 Nearly always

Four dimensions of recurring dependence.

01

Decision volume

How often recurring and low-leverage choices consume attention that should be reserved for consequential judgement.

02

Ownership concentration

How often information, approval or interpretation must return to one person before work can move.

03

Open-loop pressure

How much unresolved work remains mentally active because it has no owner, decision rule or review point.

04

Recovery cost

How far the operating pattern consumes the time and attention intended for rest, relationships and strategic thought.

The score estimates concentration of operating pressure. It does not measure intelligence, resilience, clinical fatigue or leadership quality.

Read the band and the pattern together.

  • 0 to 8, contained: decision responsibility appears bounded, though the highest dimension still identifies a useful review point.
  • 9 to 17, accumulating: recurring dependence is becoming visible and should be redesigned before urgency normalises it.
  • 18 to 26, concentrated: important capacity is repeatedly being used to hold preventable decisions or unresolved loops.
  • 27 to 36, system-dependent: movement relies heavily on your continued attention. Reduce dependence deliberately rather than attempting to carry it more efficiently.

Useful for reflection, not diagnosis.

This is version 1.0 of an original KemiKing educational framework, authored by Kemi King and published on 3 September 2026. Each statement is scored from 0 to 3. Three statements form each dimension, producing a dimension score from 0 to 9 and a total from 0 to 36. The four interpretation bands are heuristic editorial thresholds, not empirically derived clinical cut-offs.

It has not been clinically or psychometrically validated and should not be used to diagnose burnout, anxiety, depression or any health condition. Persistent exhaustion, impaired functioning or concern about your health deserves appropriate professional support. See the KemiKing evidence standard for the publication and research boundaries applied to this work.

The diagnostic, clearly answered.

Are my answers saved?

No. The result is calculated locally in your browser. KemiKing does not receive or store these answers.

Is a higher score always worse?

A higher score indicates more concentrated operating dependence during the period considered. Context matters, especially during a deliberate short-term transition or crisis.

What should I do with the result?

Start with the highest dimension. Choose one recurring decision, dependency or open loop and change its owner, default, threshold or review point. Then observe whether fewer decisions return.
